“What If the EARTH Was the Smartest Strategist You Know?
Fearless Entrepreneur & Leader JULIA LECKEY’S BLOG By Julia Leckey | 25th March 2025
Welcome to the 16th edition of THINK. PLAN. DO. For fearless entrepreneurs & leaders.
This week let's dive deeper into the most important thing in the universe—YOUR HOME.
So, I ask you:
What if the Earth was the smartest strategist you know?
This week, we’re going deeper—into the wisdom of the Earth herself. I’ve read so much and explored so widely that, honestly, this will likely become a series.
But let’s begin with a few simple questions:
· When do you pause, let go, and regenerate?
· When do you prioritise your energy as much as your ambition?
· When do you truly connect—with yourself, with others, with something greater?
Because we're not separate—we're part of something ancient, intelligent, and alive.
We are, after all, one in this bonkers and beautiful ecosystem called EARTH.
I hope you enjoy!

1 / THINK 🤔
The Myth We Are Living
Most of us are living inside a myth we never chose. Hustle harder. Push through. Chase the goal. Sleep when you're dead. Disconnect—from your body, your intuition, your planet.
Sound familiar?
We’ve normalised a way of working that drains us. But what if there’s a different story?
Because the Earth doesn’t hustle.
She waits. She listens. She evolves. She regenerates.
She’s the original strategist. The ultimate system builder. And in a world addicted to speed, she offers something radical:
Rhythm. Pattern. Regeneration.
Gaia Thinking: What Earth Teaches Us About Growth
In writing The Gaia Sequence, I spent three years immersed in:
🌍 Gaia theory 🧬 Quantum physics 💫 Systems thinking 🧠 Neuroscience 📜 Mythology 🤖 AI & Consciousness
What emerged was more than a story. It was a new lens on leadership, life, and legacy.
Key Lessons from Earth:
✅ She’s not passive. There is intelligence in everything—soil, stars, skin. Nature isn’t something we use—it’s something we’re woven into. Leadership begins when we stop acting as separate from what we’re trying to change.
✅ Everything is connected. From quantum entanglement to root systems and ripple effects, every action matters. No move is too small. No life is too insignificant. Leadership, creativity, and love echo far beyond what we can see.
✅ Intelligence without soul is dangerous. Tech without ethics. Progress without purpose. We’ve seen what that becomes. The Earth reminds us: real intelligence includes heart. Soul belongs at the centre of innovation.
✅ Stillness is a superpower. The Earth is always speaking. But if we don’t slow down, we can’t hear her—or ourselves. The most radical act? To pause. To feel. To listen beneath the noise.
✅ Disconnection comes at a cost. When we lose touch with our own energy, we lose connection to everything else. Loneliness, numbness, burnout—these aren’t failures. They’re signals. Invitations back to wholeness.
✅ Change begins with disruption. Crisis cracks us open. The mess might just be your turning point. Let the breaking be your beginning.
✅ Creation always creates life! Whether you're birthing a book, a business, or a new way of being—it will demand your focus, your consistency, your soul. But what it gives back? Magic. Transformation. Truth.
✅ AI might help us be more human. Before industrialization, work wasn’t the centre of life. Soil did the labour. People lived in rhythm—with the land, with each other, with meaning. What if AI helps us return to that? Not to do less, but to be more. More connected. More alive. More human.
Why I Had to Lie Down in the Garden
Halfway through the research, I was overwhelmed. Not by the data—but by the truth. Species disappearing. Systems collapsing. Disconnection accelerating.
So, I did the only thing I could: I lay in the grass. And I listened.
And what I felt was this:
🌍 The Earth doesn’t need us to fix her. She needs us to remember we’re part of her.
We are not living on a rock. We are living with a consciousness. And consciousness needs us—humans—to keep evolving.
We are more important than we realise. But we’ve forgotten how to belong.
Rhythm. Pattern. Regeneration.
A different kind of growth. A deeper kind of leadership. A return to something older than hustle:
Wholeness.

2 / PLAN 🤓
Tiny Shifts. Big Roots.
How to Lead Like the Earth Does.
You don’t need to blow up your calendar to reconnect with rhythm. Just a few conscious shifts can move you from chaos to clarity. Here are 5 small but powerful ways to bring Gaia Thinking into your day-to-day:
1. Reconnect with Nature (Ourselves) The biggest shift starts with awareness. The more we see Earth as alive, the more we treat it with respect. Walk barefoot. Spend time in nature. Breathe like the planet breathes—slowly, rhythmically. It’s not spiritual fluff; it's neurobiology and systems alignment.
2. Rethink Growth Business as usual = burnout for the planet. But regeneration is not the opposite of growth—it’s a better version of it. 🌾 Regenerative business ⚡ Circular design 🧬 Tech that supports ecosystems. Leaders and entrepreneurs have real leverage here. Use it with intent.
3. Tell Better Stories The myth we’re living—endless growth, human dominance, separation—is killing us. We need new myths. New metaphors. Novels. Newsletters. Movements. Words shape worlds. Don’t underestimate what your voice can shift.
4. Use Your Platform Whether it’s a boardroom, a stage, a team Slack, or social media—what you say influences culture. Talk about sustainability. Talk about Earth. Talk about possibility. I love Stephen Fern's LinkedIn platform. I was fortunate enough to secure an insightful one-hour interview with him for my novel.
5. Serve something bigger. Whether it’s your art, your team, your family, or the planet—let it mean more than metrics. Change doesn’t always come from governments. Big shifts start with communities that care.

3 / DO 🤩
Soulful Action. Grounded Growth.
This week, let Earth be your mentor. Not in metaphor. In practice. Try one of these shifts, share one insight, or pick one book and let it open a door.
📚 4 Books That Will Change Your View of Earth, Soul & Strategy
· The Gaia Theory – James Lovelock The foundational lens: Earth as a self-regulating, living system. A must-read.
· Autobiography of a Yogi – Paramahansa Yogananda Steve Jobs gifted this to 500 people at his funeral. That says everything.
· A Life on Our Planet – David Attenborough A sobering and sacred view of what’s been lost—and what can still be saved.
· The Tao of Physics – Fritjof Capra Where Eastern mysticism meets modern science. Wildly perspective-shifting.
… And if you’re more of a visual learner, here’s a powerful 10-minute clip that changed how I think about systems, scale, and Earth herself:
👉 Watch: James Lovelock Explains the Gaia Hypothesis (The Sacred Balance Interview)
“Earth isn’t a backdrop. She’s a living system. A strategist. A regulator. And—maybe—our best teacher.” — James Lovelock
A Final Prompt (For the Brave Ones)
💬 Where are you pushing… when you could be flowing?
💬 Where have you forgotten the power of your own story?
💬 What would you do differently if you truly trusted your voice?
You don’t have to write a novel. But you do have a story to tell. And someone is waiting to hear it.
At Thinking Fearlessly, I coach entrepreneurs and leaders not just to build business—but to build lives rooted in meaning, energy, and earth-connected wisdom.
We are not just renters of this planet. Not just consumers of time or trends. We are kin. And like any mother, Gaia is fierce in her love—and clear in her boundaries.
At Land of Colourful Creatures, we show the world through art and illustration the beauty of our human stories and our planet.
Final thought (from Gaia herself?):
“It’s not about saving me. It’s about remembering you belong to me.”
We’re not just here to “fix” the Earth. We’re here to co-create with her. And maybe, if we listen—really listen—we’ll find the blueprint was under our feet the whole time.
🦋 If this stirred something in you—or even whispered—DM me. Let’s talk soul work, leadership, and legacy.
Because here’s the truth:
💡 The inner world shapes the outer impact. Always has. Always will.

I hope this helps,
